Projection Screens

blurb-03Projection screens, like their digital projector counterparts, come in all shapes and sizes. Selecting the right screen for your application is critical to enable the entire audience to see the projected image.

Whether it is for a church, meeting room or school, the size of the screen should be based upon room dimensions and audience arrangement using these guidelines:

  • The height of the screen should be approximately 1/6 the distance from the screen to the farthest seat
  • The closest seat should be roughly 2 screen heights away
  • A clearance of 1.2 meters (4 feet) between the bottom of the screen and the floor

Depending upon the projector that you plan to use will determine the “format” or aspect ratio of the screen. Popular formats include video (4:3), HDTV (16:9) and WXGA (16:10).

Choose the screen type that best suits your particular needs and budget. For example, pull down screens are available in electric or manual versions. Portable screens are ideal for presentations in multiple rooms would
